Join the GRPM and artist Dayna Walton for this special interactive art and science program all about bugs on Saturday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.! Dayna is currently working on Bugspot, a mural under the Bridge Street bridge (funded by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc.), depicting the life cycle of bugs growing from larvae to adults In this program, you will learn behind-the-scenes information from Dayna at the mural while collecting bugs on the Grand River river walk, and then head into the Museum for art and science with the bugs you’ve collected. Learn about drawing techniques and bug anatomy, and take home your own artwork.
This program is open to 16 registrants, and best for those ages 12 and older. Registration is the cost of general admission to the GRPM, and after the program, you can continue exploring the Museum’s 3 floors of exhibits, including Amazing Pollinators!
