Holiday Cloth Gift Wrap Workshop
Wednesday, November 18
7 – 9 pm
with Pierce Cedar Creek Institute
Are you looking to be eco-friendly this holiday season? Try furoshiki, a traditional Japanese art that has evolved into a modern alternative to paper gift wrapping. Dayna Walton of Solstice Handmade will lead this virtual workshop. Participants will explore the basics of printmaking on cloth and learn to transform gifts into works of art. All the necessary supplies—cloth, ink, block stamps—to make your own cloth gift wrap will be delivered to you. Please register by November 6 to ensure your supplies arrive in time; international participants, please register by October 30. This live workshop will be held via Zoom and will include time for questions and critiques. The class will be recorded and shared with participants to use as a reference at a later time. If you register after November 6, you will receive the supplies and a recording of the class—the perfect Christmas gift for your creative loved one! Space in the live workshop is limited to 25 participants.
